| About The Monroe Animal League | ||
| The Monroe Animal League is dedicated to helping the animals of Monroe County. We are the only group in Monroe County that promotes spay/neuter and humane education as the way to control pet overpopulation, and thus relieve cruelty and suffering among animals. We believe this to be the only way to achieve a future with no more homeless animals. The league urges all pet owners to have their pets spayed/neutered, and via public donations, fund raisers, and the cooperation of many Monroe County veterinarians, we assist pet owners who cannot afford to have their pets altered through our low-cost spay/neuter program. If done at an early age, there may be a cost savings and health benefits to your pet. When animal emergencies occur, we will assist in an emergency to ensure the animal is seen by a veterinarian. The league sponsors humane education through the Humane Society of the United States Adopt-A-Classroom program, teaching thousands of elementary students (K-6) respect of self, others, animals and the earth. We also provide the public with free Pet Alert Decals, How-To Pamphlets concerning responsible pet ownership, and host Educational Seminars. To receive 2 Pet Alert decals for FREE, send a self addressed and stamped envelope to: Monroe Animal League P.O. Box 23 East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 WHEREVER POSSIBLE WE
